报告题目:On the principal eigenvalue of asymmetric nonlocal diffusion operators and associated propagation dynamics

报告摘要: 

      For fixed, and a general non-symmetric kernel functionsatisfying a standard assumption, we consider the nonlocal diffusion operator

and prove that its principal eigenvalue  has the following asymptotic limit:

We then demonstrate how this result can be applied to determine the propagation dynamics of the associated Cauchy problem

with a KPP nonlinear term. This provides a new approach to understand the propagation dynamics of KPP type models, very different from those based on traveling wave solutions or on the dynamical systems method of Weinberger (1982). This talk is based on joint work with Dr Xiangdong Fang (Dalian Univ Tech) and Dr Wenjie Ni (Univ New England).

澳大利亚科学院院士,博士生导师。于1988年在山东大学师从郭大钧教授获得博士学位并留校任教,1990年至1991年赴英国 Heriot-Watt大学访问,1991年至1992年到澳大利亚新英格兰大学做博士后,师从国际著名数学家、澳大利亚科学院院士 E.N. Dancer 教授。1993年至今在新英格兰大学历任讲师、高级讲师、副教授、教授。主要从事非线性泛函分析及其应用、非线性椭圆型和抛物型偏微分方程、自由边界问题及其在生物数学中的应用等领域的研究。已在国际一流数学杂志包括《Journal of the European Mathematical Society》《Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society》《Journal of Functional Analysis》《Journal de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées》《Transactions of the American Mathematical Society》《Annales de l’Institut Henri Poincaré》《SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis》《Indiana University Mathematics Journal》《Calculus of Variations and Partial Differential Equations》《Nonlinearity》《Journal of Differential Equations》等发表学术论文170余篇。已发表论文他引次数超过5000次,多次入选Web of Science高被引学者。出版个人研究专著1部。多次组织国际性学术会议,多次担任国际大会执行和学术委员会委员,多次受邀在国际学术会议做大会报告或者邀请报告。获校长杰出研究奖(Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Research)。连续多次主持澳大利亚国家研究会 (ARC) 基金,2024年获澳大利亚桂冠学者奖 (Australian Laureate Fellow)。

2.桂长峰 (澳门大学)

  澳门大学科技学院讲座教授、数学系主任，澳大发展基金会数学杰出学人教授,研究方向为非线性偏微分方程、图像分析和处理，在国际顶级期刊如《Annals of Mathematics》《Inventiones Mathematicae》《Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics》发表多篇论文。曾获加拿大太平洋数学研究所研究成果奖、加拿大数学中心Aisensdadt 奖、IEEE信号处理协会最佳论文奖、中国国家自然科学基金海外合作基金(海外杰青)等奖项。美国数学学会会士、美国西蒙斯会士、美国科学促进会会士。曾任美国德州大学圣安东尼奥分校应用数学冠名讲座教授,入选国家教育部长江学者讲座教授和国家特聘专家。

3.吕克宁 (四川大学)

报告题目：Turbulence, Lyapunov exponents, and SRB measures in infinite-dimensional dynamical systems

报告摘要：

     In this talk, I will present several results related to Lyapunov exponents, SRB measures, entropy, and horseshoes in the context of infinite-dimensional dynamical systems. I will also discuss recent work on the ergodicity and statistical dynamics of the 2D Navier-Stokes equation, driven by both time-dependent deterministic and stochastic forces. Additionally, I will explore the connection between SRB measures and turbulence.

    四川大学数学学院教授、博士生导师。现任四川大学数学学院学术院长，中国数学会第十四届理事会副理事长,第九届国家自然科学基金数学天元基金学术领导小组成员。2005年获国家杰出青年科学基金(B类),2010年入选国家海外高层次人才计划，2017年获首届“张芷芬数学奖”,2021年当选美国数学学会会士(AMS Fellow)。主持国家自然科学基金重点项目(2014-2018)和国家自然科学基金重大项目(2021-2025)等。现任国际期刊Journal of Differential Equations共同主编,《中国科学：数学》(英文版)等5个数学期刊的编委。长期致力于无穷维与随机动力系统理论与应用研究，相关论文发表在《Inventiones Mathematicae》《Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics》《 Memoirs of the American Mathematical Society》《Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis》《Journal of Differential Equations》《Annals of Probability》等学术期刊上。

4.彭双阶 (华中师范大学)

报告题目：Qualitative analysis for Moser-Trudinger nonlinearities

报告摘要：

        In this talk, we are concerned with the Moser-Trudinger problem. By  using a variety of local Pohozaev identities, we qualitatively analyze the positive solutions of Moser-Trudinger problem with a low energy, which contains the Morse index, non-degeneracy, asymptotic behavior, uniqueness and symmetry of solutions. This is a joint work with Peng Luo and Kefan Pan.

    华中师范大学教授、博士生导师,现任华中师范大学校长。国务院政府特殊津贴专家,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者,教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”,德国洪堡学者,湖北省重大人才工程“高端人才引领培养计划”入选者,非线性分析及其应用教育部重点实验室主任。长期从事非线性偏微分方程、非线性泛函分析的研究。担任国际数学期刊《Communications on Pure and Applied Analysis》《J. Scientific Resesrch and Report》编委,《数学物理学报》(中、英文版)常务编委,《应用数学学报》编委,《数学进展》编委,《应用数学》编委,美国《数学评论》评论员,德国《数学评论》评论员,中国数学会第三届全国非线性泛函分析专委会副主任兼秘书长。完成的科研成果分别获得教育部自然科学奖二等奖和湖北省自然科学奖一等奖。

5.史峻平 (美国威廉玛丽学院)

报告题目：Reaction-diffusion models for animal movement with spatial memory and nonlocal advection

报告摘要：

  Animal populations often self-organize into territorial structure from movements and interactions of individual animals. Spatial memory is one of cognitive processes that may affect the movement and navigation of the animals. We will review several mathematical approaches of animal spatial movements: (i) reaction-diffusion-advection model with time-delayed memory-based movement; and (ii) reaction-diffusion-advection model with a non-local advection term driven by a cognitive map representing memory of past animal locations embedded in the environment. The well-posedness of models and bifurcation of spatiotemporal patterns will be discussed.

  美国威廉玛丽学院(College of William & Mary)数学系教授,2018-2022年任数学系主任。主要研究方向为偏微分方程,动力系统,分歧理论,非线性泛函分析,生物数学。在偏微分方程,分歧理论方面的研究工作受到国际上广泛重视。在生物数学方向包括种群模型,生物化学反应,形态生成,生态系统稳定性等方面都有研究。曾主持参加美国国家科学基金会基金项目多项,主持组织国际学术会议20多次,在国际学术会议做大会报告/邀请报告100余次。担任多个国际知名SCI刊物编委,为100多种数学、物理、生物刊物审稿人。发表学术论文190余篇,被引用10000余次。

6.魏军城 (加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学)

报告题目: On Brezis' first open problem: a complete solution

报告摘要: 

      In 2023, one year before his death,  Haim Brezis published a list of his ``favorite open problems, which he described as challenges he had ``raised throughout his career and has resisted so far. We provide a complete resolution to the first one--Open Problem 1.1--in Brezis's favorite open problems list: the existence of solutions to the long-standing Brezis-Nirenberg problem on a three-dimensional ball. Furthermore, using the building blocks of Del Pino-Musso-Pacard-Pistoia sign-changing solutions to the Yamabe problem,  we establish the existence of infinitely many sign-changing, nonradial solutions for the full range of the parameter. (Joint work with Liming Sun and Wen Yang.)

    加拿大皇家科学院院士，香港中文大学卓敏数学讲座教授、杰出创科学人(Global Stem Scholar)。曾任加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学国家一级研究讲座教授。主要研究领域是非线性偏微分方程、凝聚现象与爆破、数学生物学。他的许多研究工作具有划时代性及前瞻性并且研究成就为国际公认,完整解决了著名的De Giorgi猜测。自1994年以来,魏军城教授在国际数学期刊上发表论文超过500篇,包括《Annals of Mathematics》1篇、《Inventiones Mathematicae》2篇、《SIAM Review》1篇、《Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics》9篇、《Duke Mathematical Journal》4篇、《American Journal of Mathematics》5篇、《Advances in Mathematics》9篇等,美国数学学会MathSciNet引用超过1.4万次,Google Scholar引用超过2.2万次、H指数为75。魏教授荣获了多项荣誉,其中包括：2005年获香港裘槎基金会（Croucher Foundation）“优秀科研者奖”、2009年获国家杰出青年基金（B类）、2010年获华人数学家大会晨兴银奖、2010年获教育部自然科学一等奖、2014年入选国家级高层次人才计划,2014年应邀在第27届国际数学家大会上做45分钟报告、2020年获得加拿大数学会Jeffery-Williams Prize, 2023年获得《中国科学：数学》中文版第三届“优秀论文奖”, 2025年获世界华人数学家联盟年会ICCM若琳奖。

7.尤建功 (南开大学陈省身数学研究所)

报告题目：The Cantor Spectrum Problem

报告摘要：

       Quasi-periodic environments are situated between (simple) periodic environments and (complex) random environments. Schrödinger operators with quasi-periodic potentials possess significant quantum physical backgrounds, such as the quantum Hall effect, quasicrystals, and topological insulators. The Cantor spectrum is a spectral phenomenon predominantly observed in quasi-periodic Schrödinger operators and forms the basis for the logic underlying the integer quantum Hall effect. Owing to its profound mathematical richness, the quasi-periodic Schrödinger operator has garnered attention from numerous distinguished mathematicians, including Moser, Sinai, Bourgain, Spencer and Avila. This report aims to present our recent advancements in the study of Cantor spectra, encompassing the Dry Ten Martini problem, robust Cantor spectrum, quantitative global theory, and estimates of spectral gaps. The findings are based on several recent collaborative efforts with Avila, Ge Lingrui, Leguil, Jitomirskaya, Zhao Zhiyan, and Zhou Qi.

报告题目：Some results on Henon-Lane-Emden conjecture and nonlinear Schrodinger systems

报告摘要：

     We introduce some advances on Lane-Emden conjecture, especially our results on Henon-Lane-Emden conjecture; we introduce our results on normalized solutions of nonlinear Schrodinger systems; we give the results on existence or nonexistence of solutions for Schrodinger systems arising from Bose-Einstein condensates, especially for the Schrodinger systems with linear and nonlinear couplings.

中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院二级研究员、博士生导师,华罗庚数学首席研究员,中国科学院特聘研究员(核心骨干),中国科学院大学岗位教授。国家杰出青年基金获得者、国家万人计划领军人才、科技部中青年科技创新领军人才、洪堡学者。长期从事非线性泛函分析理论和应用的前沿研究,Springer出版社出版专著一部,科学出版社出版合著一部,在《Journal of Functional Analysis》《Annales de l'Institut Henri Poincare Analyse Non Lineaire》《J. Differential Equations》《Calculus of Variations and PDE》《 Transactions of the American Mathematical Society》等著名学术刊物发表论文120多篇,SCI 110多篇。在困难的自由边界问题,Bose-Einstein condensates Schrodinger方程组,生物竞争方程组等众多方面取得重要成果,解决了困难的Terracini猜想和3维Henon-Lane-Emden猜想。这些成果产生了广泛的影响,被1100多名数学家引用2500多次,单篇最高439次,有的已成为基本参考文献,在研究领域起着引领作用,多次应邀在重要国际会议上作大会报告。曾担任中国数学会副秘书长、江苏大学数学科学学院院长,担任Springer期刊《Partial Differential Equations and Applications》主编,以及DCDS等6个国际刊物编委。主持科技部国家重点研发项目1项,主持或参与基金委重点等项目多项。
